The preparation course for couples
The Prettig Bevallen (Pleasant Childbirth) course is an expectation management course and is taught by midwives. The course focuses specifically on you as a couple and therefore on both partners!

The birth of a baby is a very special event for both of you and your relationship. It’s not just about mother and child; parents and a family are also born. The moment of birth is a great moment!
At Prettig Bevallen we have the special knowledge about this beautiful process and are happy to share this knowledge with you in addition to the ‘usual’ information about giving birth.
Positive effects
- Giving and receiving support from the partner influences the progression and has a positive effect on the experience of childbirth and the transition to parenthood. As a partner, you are anything but ‘useless’ during childbirth. It is of course nice to know what that support entails during childbirth. We explain this in a practical way during the course and let us connect with you as a couple, because every person and every couple is different.

- What are the scenarios we can expect and how can we best deal with them?
Honest and real information helps to know what choices are available and to match your expectations with reality. It also helps in making a birth plan.
During the exercises in the course, we discuss in detail how to deal with contractions at rest and the different positions.
Everything that can contribute to the most relaxed and pleasant experience of birth.
